Not really a read, but very interesting for football/Favre fans.

I'm reading The System of the World by Neal Stephenson:

It's amazing how fast-paced this final part of the trilogy is compared to the first two. Quicksilver was glacially paced, the second half of the second book was acceptable, and in this one something happens on almost every page! I think Stephenson found he had too much make happen in the last book so had to keep things moving at a good clip.

I can't believe I missed this thread! I'm bumping it back up because literature is one of the great pleasures in life (or my life, at least)...

For serious reading:

Just finished The Aeneid by Virgil (Richard Fagles translation)

Currently reading On the incarnation: the treatise De incarnatione Verbi Dei by Athanasius

Next comes Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes (Edith Grossman translation)

As fun and ongoing side projects, I am concurrently reading:

A History of Pi by Pert Beckman

Stick to Drawing Comics, Monkey Brain! by Scott Adams

Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse which is a compilation of various authors
