Hey.

What balanced amp for GS1000 and UE9. Price range up to 1300 USD
Source is Lynx Two B.

Thanks and Regards.

As far as I know the Headroom Balanced Desktop is your only option in that price range.
I don't know hoe it matches with the GS1000 or ED9 though.

Yep, going balanced isnt cheap.

My Apache works very well with my balanced GS1000. If you are new to the hobby, I would stick with SE for a while and focus on finding the perfect cans for yourself and then focus on the amps. Although, I suspect that you may have already found them in the GS1000. My favorites by far!

But I heard some systems in audio-video stores and in thanks to friends and I have to say the I would prefer rather non-tubes amp.

So biggest dillema is about RudiStor NX-03 or NX-33.

The NX03 is SE only so if you insist on balanced, you'd have to get the NX33.

Yes I know that NX-03 is SE

But Im thinking if upgrade to NX33 is worht it.
I can extend my budget to NX-33 which is OK - because it is easy go get in Europe and I have not to pay additional taxes for import.

So the big question is NX-03 or NX-33

BTW. If I will get NX-33. And use balanced connection beetwen Lynx Two and NX33. Will I be able to plug standard SE headphones until I will get balanced ?

I've owned the NX-33 (have an RPX-100 now) and it is a really good amp.
You don't need a balanced source with it to get balanced output for your phones.
Yes, you can use it with single ended phones too. All info is on Rudi's site.

Tell us why you're focusing on going balanced. Although there are advantages of going so if budget is no object, I'd say below 2K you can maximize your performance by staying single-ended.

X2

Can't say for the G1000 never had it but Edt.9 does not need ballanced source to shine. I have B22 balanced , Liza III, DIY MJ tube amp and Edt.9.

Some nice people from this forum explained me something about it - and in fact now Im understand that it is really better ( in this case ) to buy better single ended amp.

Thanks for explaining the situation!

Agree with the call to max out a SE system rather than look at balanced rigs.

The additonal costs involved in providing a 'real' balanced signal from source to cans really brings out the ugly face of diminishing returns.

While there are benefits from going balanced, a synergistic SE rig can be very satisfying as well.
