i just finished william gibson's "pattern recognition", can't say i was terribly impressed with it, i miss cyberpunk-ness

and this one is completely set in the present; plot was rather bumpy

am finishing up bob dylan's chroniclesI and am pretty impressed with his writing; very straightforward with a touch of poetry; it's basically an enormous list of all the musicians he sat and listened to, heard play, played with; just listening to music, playing music, listening playing; no fancy theory or anything, just love of music, FOLK music in particular (exclusively almost), woody guthrie, surprising to me

was reading the last book in the ender's game series by orson scott card called "children of the imind"; the first two in the series are mind blowingly good, and i beg you to read ender's game and speaker for the dead; the last two are interesting, but the story definitely degenerates a bit

anyway, i'm on heavy antibiotics for treatment of chronic lyme disease, and let's hope to God it works, anyway, not out much and reading when i can, just wanted to hear from my favorite online community about what literature you love, and what you're reading now

Ah, Masters of the Obvious!

I just finished reading the Destroyer (series) book # 130, and will start #131 tonight. Great, silly fun, the whole series has been a great escape from the drudgery of work for me.

Even though the quality slipped some when ghost writers took over for the original creators, the main characters' personalities have come through, and they make it a great read.

EDIT: Uzziah, good luck on your treatment! My brother-in-law has Lymes, he goes up and down quite a bit.
