1979 - Monterey, CA, shortly before 'London Calling' was released, so we got to hear some of those songs for the first time. I remember being totally blown away by 'Guns of Brixton' in particular....

Snarky Puppy - Sylva Remixed and Remastered.png
The opening two songs.

And the final song. SP's music meshes particularly well with the Metropole
Orkest - they drive each other - they should do another project together!

This album was recorded live in-studio, like many other SP albums.

Live in 2015 (remastered 2024) and studio from 2022. Time for a new album?

Always loved the Cramps; they used to come out to San Francisco every Halloween to play here....

Did you shoot this picture yourself? Anyhow, I had bought two vinyls - first album and third one - in the late 80s, but never saw them live. Your post and the one you were quoting made me surface my top songs of The Clash and of course listen to them (one more time). I like their Dub/Reggae attitude mixed with their punk!

Yes, every picture I post I took myself - I was a concert photographer during the '70's.... And I am a big fan of Jamaican dub/roots myself.....
