Just got back from seeing Al Di Meola at Yoshis Oakland. I didn’t know he had a serious heart attack in Europe last fall, first tour since. 2 shows each Friday and Saturday, one Sunday, 5 shows all sold out. He was very grateful for his fans, played 2 solid hours going back to the 70s and 80s. Unbelievable. He finished the set with Song to the Pharaoh Kings and a rousing audience ovation. My favorites are from these albums.
