My one and only Dire Straits album, but I love everything on it, including Money For Nothing, for which I bought the album for. The musicianship throughout this album is excellent. Fav there are Why Worry, Brothers In Arms. And Money for Nothing... despite some of its controversial lyrics, it's the music itself that grabs me.
And the sound quality of my XRCD version is exceptional. As all XRCD discs are.

So I'm trying to decide if I want this limited-edition Santana – Lotus Complete Edition ($70). Which is a 3-disc hybrid SACD, including a Multichannel, Stereo, Quadraphonic channel. The set includes 30 tracks overall, while the original album releases included 23 tracks. The complete edition packaging > here.I don't normally post "vinyl" as I currently don't have a turntable (well it's packed away), but...
I was looking through my vinyl collection for an album I needed some info from and ran across this. Surprised me because I didn't realize I had it. It's listed in my music inventory spreadsheet, but out of site out of mind. I do remember buying it used some years back. The cover is a little worn, but the vinyl itself (3) are in pristine condition. This the edition I have. Comes with two 4-panel posters. Unfortunately, though I can't play it, but I am currently listening to it on Spotify
I might consider getting the CD version at a later date. Depends on how moved I am. So far so good
BTW, I also found I have Fleetwood Mac's Tusk as well on vinyl. Had mentioned earlier in this thread I didn't have it (CD or vinyl).
Uh... this Santana is kicking. Looks like another CD order coming up
Or the regular 2-disc release ($17.99) below from Amazon with just 22 tracks as the opening track Meditation (1:39) is missing. It's the same album on listed Spotify.
As I'm also a collector, I'd love to have the complete limited edition. And for those of us who collects stuff like this, the price isn't wildly out of line. I paid the regular price of $50 (49.99) bucks for the Mo-Fi SACD numbered edition of Miles Davis Bitches Brew (2 disc). Brand new direct from Mo-Fi. And yes, that was the regular price everywhere.
Anyway, I listened to Lotus last night and thoroughly enjoyed entire set. An outstanding live performance there.

This album is so intoxicating... Shhh/Peaceful will mesmerize you as Miles's horn against the keys is like a snake charmer. You're just caught up in it. It's just one of my favorite Miles tunes. And one I'm constantly going back to. Also love the second half of In A Silent Way, especially where John McLaughlin closes it out. Very ethereal.
I'm now beginning to think this is actually my favorite Miles albums overall - above Bitches Brew, above Kind of Blue. And the Mo-Fi release is simply outstanding!
As I noted earlier, arguably Miles's 3 best album... 4 if you add Sketches of Spain, which I also love for Solea, of which I'm currently listening to now (after finishing off In A Silent Way) as I type this.

I only have one Casiopea album (vinyl only). Bought it as a take a chance. Wasn't bad, but I just never followed them. Any this is three tacks recorded off their Eyes Of The Mind album to CD. Years later ripped to PC. Didn't record the whole album, just the tracks I liked. Did that with a few albums - some partial, some whole.Casiopea - Cross Point (1981)
