OK, I'm listening to the CD version of the former, not watching the DVD. I think I prefer the latter, there's just something about Miles.
I have Miles' version as well - the liner notes discuss that many musicians have covered the Gershwin music thru the years, but
Miles' version has best stood the test of time. The emotion in his playing & the arrangements by Gil Evans are the keys, IMO. :)

Thanks @viffer for the idea ... I too appreciate Sir Richard's drumming skills.
It was 1968-69, a time of great creativity and also tension within the band.
Some songs on "The Beatles" are downright strange. At least one inspired
uber violence. But then, IMO, Abbey Road is their best work. Go figure.

If you want to share what you're listening to then providing an audio or video link is the quickest way for other people to hear it. Otherwise text works, it can be copy pasted into my music subscription service. Blurry phone picks of playlists on a computer screen, or just album art, make it a chore to search out and play tracks. I'd like to be able to listen to your tracks, not have to go through google lens to try and figure out what the hell they are. Rant over, here's todays picks...

Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones

All My Loving - Amy Winehouse
