Listening to the 4 discs Greatest Hits compilation of Robert Charlebois, a French Canadian Folk/ Rock artist from Quebec. Charlebois is considered a musical legend/ icon in his native Quebec and even amongst some Engish speaking Canadians. I saw him in concert when I was 18 at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa in 1973. One of the best concerts I’ve attended. He’s still performing and touring at the age of 75. I love Charlebois, he’s a gifted song writer, his songs are imaginative and some are really beautiful. He’s also a superb musician, showman with a warm and friendly personality.
