What Are You Listening To Right Now?

XSCAPE - MJ

-----------------------------------

I'll have a go at it with headphones later. For now it's just on speakers as ambient music. Seems to be fine so far but my speaker rig isn't up to par with the headphones.

Sad to report that this album may be a casualty of the loudness wars. I am listening atm via Samsung S3 with Senns Amperior. There is a noticeable difference between the first tracks which seem to be the redone versions sounding like it has overboosted bass and the "original versions" also in the album. The original version tracks do not have the distorted bass.

This is on Spotify but verified the files are indeed 320kb ogg vorbis and not purposely lowered 160kbps. Maybe someone can verify from a CD or HDTRACKS.

I am considering buying this, is this pressing any good?

I have a download of it. I don't use vinyl anymore, I sold my collection and my player. I don't like the sound of records with headphones, I think maybe my player wasn't good enough.

Pretty nice song, usually doesn't listen to this kind of music though!
