Eric Clapton's 1994 album 'From the Cradle'.
'Slowhand' was on top form with this raw Blues album, recorded 'live' in the studio, without overdubs.
This is the way great records used to be made
'Groaning the Blues' is just one of the many gems on the album:

Listening to my Analogue Productions remastered LP. Recorded in 1959, the sound quality is fantastic.

One of my favorites, along with Allen's The Bright Mississippi. Good luck finding a CD ... it's kinda rare these days.It took me a few days to sit down and listen to the Toussaint album, but man was it worth it! Just a very enjoyable listen. Will find either a DL or CD tomorrow.
Thanks for posting it!

Qobuz has the download for $7.49. Even if I could find a CD it would likely cost more. I've had The Bright Mississippi in my collection for a couple of years now and I still think it's one of his best. One of my favorites, along with Allen's The Bright Mississippi. My copy came yesterday and I am listening now. The cd comes with a nice little 20 page booklet and this album has three songs that the original album 20 years ago did not have. In 1997 Joe left Bloodline and before he got a record deal he went in the Studio with Stevie Van Zandt and they recorded three tracks
