After watching the No Reservations episode set in Austin, I was drawn to a rock band called Ume for their interesting sound and awesome hard rocking lead guitarist/bassist (married couple, i believe, based on their names).  I am admittedly a sucker for female vocals with that dreamy melodic tinge to it.

I actually heard about them via Kickstarter when I searched for local projects (they're from Austin). They're funding a new album right now. Check it out.
