What are the main differences between the ER4P/B/S IEMs?

Portable, binaural, and stereo.

Portable has lower impedance, designed to be driven from portable sources. They have lower impedance and a slight bass hump.

Binaural is designed for unequalized listening and binaural applications. The frequency response is funked up with an unattenuated high end that will prove fatal on equalized music (read: everything). Don't buy them if you want to just listen to music.

Stereo has higher impedance than the portable version, and a more neutral frequency response. They scale the best with improving hardware and are tailored for more audiophile-type users.

So considering I'll be using my IEMs with the D10, I suppose the best choice is the ER4S - yeah? Especially since I want a balanced & transparent sound.

I also read this about the ER4P's

"As compared to the ER-4S, the ER-4P has 10 dB greater output at high frequencies and 13 dB greater output at low frequencies. The higher sensitivity and enhanced bass of the ER-4P have made it the most popular earphone for most uses.'
