We have a home theater and were wondering which headphones were best for enjoying surround sound in DVD movies. Also, could you tell us the best versions in both corded and cordless versions. Thanks in advance for all your replies!!!!

welcome to head-fi, sorry about your wallet. (is that still our standard greeting? i've been away for a while)

don't hear too much about wireless headphones around here. i've never tried em but i don't think most people like them. i really like sony v6s or akg 501s for watching movies.

got a price range?

I'd guess there's really no best headphone for this purpose, since any 2-channel surround effect will really depend on your DVD player and/or 5.1 decoder. Closed cans might be a little better for things like DVD's and movies (in my opinion anyway), and you'd probably want a fairly long cord -- most cordless headphones sound poor, altho there are digital models that seem to have improved greatly on the typical lousy frequency response of analog cordless cans.

Other than that, probably any of the commonly recommended cans would do well. Just my 2c...
