I like the:
Electric Avenue PA2V2 ~70
Classic. Almost everyone has had one of these. If he wanted to throw one of these in a fancy case, he could easily get 150+ bucks for one of these!
Practical Devices XM4 135
9v batteries are dirt cheap and hold more capacity so you might consider foregoing the rechargie system
Ray Samuels Audio Tomahawk 295
they call this a portable amp for IEM's but this thing can power big headphones with ease!
Meier Audio CORDA 2 Stepdance 410
rather expensive, but one of the best portables IMO and could possibly be as powerful as some desktop amps.
