@Baldr Just wondering whether or not you appreciate Dead & Co. If so, are you going to see them at the Hollywood Bowl this summer?

It has a very, very strong sixties vibe. As though a lot was built then and very little since.

the lack of bus lanes makes the trip from the airport to Waikiki harder than it should be.

magnius just shipped 🙂

There are so many great places to spend time in Hawaii, Honolulu is NOT one of them.

And the Dead is kind of a weird cult scene and I always feel like an outsider at those concerts. Kind of like going to a southern Baptist service when you are an atheist. NTTAWWT they say.

I've never felt so wet in my entire life - I even felt water sloshing around in my shoes while walking.
You've led a sheltered life  I've hiked all over the world in rain or boggy terrain (Scotland, Adirondacks, Norway, Hokkaido, Sierra, Cascades, Nā Pali Coast, ...) and sloshing shoes are to be expected -- except when hiking in ski boots to and from a summit attempt, where one trades slosh for blisters.

I loved the mountain hikes. The buses run you up past the suburban houses and near the trailheads.

Is there any preferred way to break in an Yggy GS? I’ve been running pink noise through it for the last few days. It sounds good already but I’ve heard they need a lot of break in. Or maybe I shouldn’t worry about it too much.

1. “It sounds good already”, so don’t worry too much. Enjoy the music.

2. (Though this may be more for transducers than electronics)
I was told once NOT to use pink nose for break-in. What you want is a wide variety of music/sounds. So I have about a 6 hour playlist that I cycle through repeatedly (into headphones for break-in of electronics). It’s a playlist that is all over the spectrum.

my 2 cents

Its more about temperature stability. Just leave it on, and give it a week.
