What a long, strange trip it's been -- (Robert Hunter)

It is if you want to acquire all the music available in this compilation. I would check over at Archiv to see what works are included, (just type RCA Living Stereo into the search box and look for this particular set). I have all of them (individual issues) in various incarnations and in duplication in some cases for better remastering. I can vouch for the performances (many are still among the best available) and sonics but tastes do vary. I also feel the special nature of what these older recordings can bring to the listener are best appreciated with speakers, (just my personal opinion). I have also been purchasing at Archiv for years with no problems.

That's what I have in my vintage Kenwood and I just love it!
Yeah, I have one in my MH MMF5.1 (not SE). Sounds good to me.

I'm torn about pursuing analog any further as my preamp digitizes everything anyway. I suppose I could come up with a pure digital path and a pure analog path with subwoofers into the same amps and speakers but that seems messy.

My TT is plugged into the same preamp as my digital stuff. I just switch the inputs... I really enjoy the vinyl sound, I've only been into it very recently.

I have read very good things about the Nagoaka MP110. Also The MP110 and Mani combo are supposed to be very very good. I saw this review a while ago, this guy is entertaining but I enjoy his videos and he is using this combo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9U5ANqGccmk

And a Follow up Video of the MP110 - Mani - Combo by some one else based in his original.

Full Disclaimer. I don't really understand the playing vinyl on youtube as an example. Vinyl to digital then streamed over the youtube really does not do it justice. Just pointing out that the MP110 Cart with the Mani seems to have some good mojo.

No, really, my preamp digitizes everything. There's no "DIRECT ANALOG" or anything like that. That's so that it can be hooked into its matching PWM amplifier.

For that reason it appears pointless to put too much work into vinyl in my setup.

Wow, sounds complicated. Yeah, my amps are from the early 2000s... pretty straightforward. :)

I would love to know an approximate window when the Sol should be released. I'm in the market for a Turntable, and can wait a bit, as this does look like a fantastic TT for the price.

I read some reviews of the cartridge (forgetting the name/number right now) that Mike suggested. Think I'll definitely go with that, no matter what table I end up with. Really hoping it releases this year!

Can't speak to your musical taste, but stunning recordings for a buck fifty each.

I am looking for a nice cross-section of classical music that is well directed, well played, and well recorded. Does this set fit the bill?
