That is my current setup now. I'm sure you could be happy with less, but not sure anything would be "wasted".
My KEF LS50's are boxed up.
Current setup (office): Streaming via desktop (Roon/Qobuz/JRiver, etc) -> Yggdrasil A2 Unison USB -> Emotiva DC-1 as pre-amp -> Airmotiv 4S (active) speakers.
Sounds great.

I mostly listen on headphones, but Yggy --> Freya+ --> Airmotiv 5s is the desktop speakers option.

My 10 year old kef 300a gave out, probably the internal dac busted, usb or something. Need to replace at some point. Don’t have a speaker amp so have to go internal dac type…..any suggestions? Bookshelf type no budget

I have signed up to have my EK43S serviced next month. Looking forward to watching a professional clean and align it and asking them all the questions I can think of. Given that it is the ur-source, the source of all things, I am sure it will be a revelatory experience.

If you don't have any budget limits personally I would go for the bigger LS50 Wireless 2.
