saw Tosca last night - first opera in two years. Michael Fabiano is excellent — both arias were superb. Front row dress circle had better acoustics than I remember. And our new music director is wonderful, I’m so glad she’s shattering glass ceilings.

Very happy for you. I certainly miss attending live concerts.

As for Kim Eun-Sun, for those of us who don’t know her work: any recordings you recommend? Her CV sure is impressive!

I don't really know her work either, but her Tosca was full of verve.

...as am I, with this new blend that I bought 5 pounds of. Strongly recommend for espresso, it's also decent for pour over. Am realizing that I don't yet know how to clean my EK43S, and as it's been two years, I think I'm going to need to get on that. It's becoming harder to get the coffee fine enough for espresso. https://www.vervecoffee.com/collections/blends/products/larrea-blend

on the internets about the new 20b TI chip.
The device features a robust sample-and-hold subcircuit that removes code-dependent glitch behavior.
I know that this "glitch" caused all kinds of anguish. What effect does the new chip have on that given the proprietary glitch code in Schiit's multi-bit software?

I don't know how much better you can get than:

https://www.ecmrecords.com/shop/1619621465/overpass-marc-johnson
https://www.prestomusic.com/classic...francesco-domenico-scarlatti-sonate-a-quattro
https://www.pentatonemusic.com/fran...mbourg-gustavo-gimeno-patricia-kopatchinskaja

... and this was a very tough selection from the 117 (so far) 2021 releases in my collection. We never had better music.
Muito obrigado for this. Great music and Bandcamp is what I approve definitely. I discover with Spotify/Bandcamp and purchase in ALAC when I enjoy it. These albums are on the list.

My Yggdrasil vs Gungnir calculus shifts yet again...

It doesn’t help that they both sound great. :gs1000smile:

I have both. My amp endgame ended up being Gungnir and Mjolnir 2. My “loud” endgame ended up being Yggdrasil A2 with Ragnarok 2. I have tried both out of the same amp and all you can imagine, and to my ears, what separates them is a lot less than the price difference. If it helps you:

- Yggy sounds a tiny bit richer and fuller and with my speakers, vocals come out great.
- Gungnir is just as detailed and very, very, very enjoyable for my headphone sessions. To my ears, it is just a tiny bit mellower overall. I can’t fault it.

I had a Bimby powering Mjolnir for a long time. And a Rega. And I couldn’t complain then either, to be honest. A little narrower in presentation perhaps, but not bad at all.

I think if you’re moving up from a Bimby, you won’t do wrong with either one of its siblings. But I stand by the following: they are not $1,300 dollars apart, sonically speaking. They’re just slightly different.

For the objectivists, here are the measurements that validate what I heard is correct: .|.. ..|. :deadhorse:
