We’re building more housing! Also espresso tonic and the memorial to the Jews murdered in Europe.

Saw Tristan number two. Barenboim conducts like he’s driving a black bmw. Aggressive, extreme dynamics. Extreme tempi.

Coffee update: The (Robert) Mueller (Richard) Burr coffee grinder is now part of my morning routine. Through trial and error, I have found the proper setting for the grind with my cheapo Amazon coffee maker.

I have found that a full grinder of beans yields the proper amount for 8-servings (Cups on a coffee maker appear to be 6 oz. rather than 8 oz.) which translates into two coffee cups (my size) of morning brew. No fuss, no muss, no wasted coffee that gets poured drown the drain when I have finished my morning boost. I still have an ample supply of the Lavazza Medium Roast beans but have found two local roasters worth giving a try when that need arises.

The Mueller-Burr grinder seems to grind faster than when it was new--maybe because I finally figured out the "clicks" that set the grind. A little upper body exercise is beneficial also, with the manual effort. Some days I think I live in a Third World neighborhood until the power company cleared some sagging supply lines of years of vines, which literally pulled the power pole to an angle. Gas stove to heat water, manual grinder, and I am still good to go.

The coffee hobby is almost as awesome as the audio hobby. Addictions both.
