Currently using KZ ZSA and the upgraded bluetooth cable and it's a bit piercing, leaving a lot to be desired. Also the upgrade cable had to be modified to fit the ZSA. Looking for a one IEM to do it all solution that could be used both wirelessly and wired. Considering:

IEMs
Ibasso IT01 $99 - One of the best sounding sub $100 IEMS, but might not be ideal for sports use.

Bluetooth adapters
Plussound $150: best audio quality possible, but huge size.
Westone $150 good audio quality, a lot of connection issues, poor design.

Combos
Beats X $150: SQ good but perhaps not great, unsure about performance connected to android. Very good form factor and sleek design, but since you can't play whilst charging, it doesn't work as a wired option.

Hi @grkn,

Already responded to your query in the dedicated iBasso IT 01 thread but I will say again anyway.

Agree with @serman005, IT 01 hands down

Shure BT cable is my choice as a BT alternate solution though prefer cables as a general rule.
Sweat & water resistant
20 mins charge for 2 hours
2 hours charge for 8 hours

Can't comment on the other two BT adapters.

Hope you have a great day !

Don’t know the ZSA’s but do have the ZST and ZS10 and will agree the KZ Bluetooth unit is definitely bright and only about 4 to 5 hours if your lucky on a charge. Have the IT01’s also and they are very good for the price the ZS10’s are also good but the cable connection is not as good as the MMCX so IT01 wins on that. You are going to pay more for a Bluetooth cable than you will for the IT01’s haven’t found one cheaper other than on Aliexpress but two week wait and don’t know the quality.
