Looking for an IEM for portable/on the go use. Right now I have the RHA CL2, which is ergonomically perfect, beautifully built, and has a well-documented upper midrange peak that’s frankly maddening. I’ve been looking at a lot of the chi-if offerings, particularly from DUNU, but I’m a sucker for a massive deal and have found the W80s for a huge discount. Of course I’ve read and seen all the reviews, but they seem to be a mixed bag, particularly when it comes to sound quality for money spent... but of course that only applies to full retail, which I try to never pay. Can anybody who’s owned or used these speak to their quality? From an ergonomic and included accessory stand point, I know I’ll like them, but I’m just wondering about sound quality. Apart from the CL2s, my other HPs are the Audeze LCD i4 and Shure KSE 1200. Kind of ironic calling them headphones, I know. It’s also been years since I’ve heard an all-BA transducer.
