Does anyone have direct experience comparing the comfort of the Westone UM3X with either the Klipsch X5 or the X10?

My X5s were stolen and I'm looking for a replacement.

The X5s were the most comfortable earphones I've tried but Klipsch (unfortunately) has discontinued them.

Thanks.

Well I have the Westone 4, and owned the 3, which is the same style/design as the UM3X, and I sold my Klipsch X10. So, damn near a direct comparison.

To me, the Westone stuff is by far the most comfortable IEM I have ever stuck in my ear. And many other around here would agree. Westone makes the most comfy IEMs around.

With the Westone loop-over-the-ear design, you're putting less weight/gravity on the tip that is inside your ear. To me, that's inevitably more comfortable.

Not to mention, for me, the sound quality of the UM3X is superior in every way to the X10. I sold my X10 without hesitation and never looked back.

EDIT: Plus you can get the UM3X 15% off right now at Earphonesolutions.com with code "VA3" - Earphone Solutions comes highly recommended.

Thanks very much for that prompt response.

Unfortunately, I've just made my fourth call over two days to Flavio at EarphoneSolutions without ever getting a callback to my message. Didn't really want advice from the answering service no matter what the discount, so gave up and started looking elsewhere.

I find that my x10 is more comfortable than my UM3X. The x10 is actually the most comfortable iem I've tried. I had to use the large single flange oval tips to get a seal. I like the sound signature of the UM3X better.

I have tried all 3, and the comfort of the X5/X10 is in another league above the UM3X. They simply disappear in your ears, and the Klipsch oval tips are the most comfy universal silicone tips IMO.

Thanks -- those patented oval tips were super comfy for me, too.
How did the sound compare?

The UM3X had the edge in detail retrieval and instrument separation but the X10 had more musicality and bass quantity.

Thanks. Would you call the X10 bass heavy or more natural?

"Natural" is subjective but I preferred the UM3X's bass over the X10. The X10 went a wee bit overboard on the low end for my ears.

Thanks very much.

Which would you buy again, if you could only have one?
