Hi, I've been lurking around head-fi.org for the last few weeksand this is my fist post here.

I currently own a pair of UE600s, UE350s, Ety MC5s, and Meelectronics M9s. I am looking forwardto buying either the Westone 1 or the Westone 2. As what I have read, the W1's have a small soundstage, and that the W2's are much better. However, the W2's cost twice as much as the W1's. Are the W2's really worth the extra money? I would also like to know how the TripleFi 10's are better than those two...I can get them for around $180 or $200. Thanks in advance :)

I to haven't heard the W1 but I have the W2 and its a very good IEM but you can get other dual driver BA's that are just as good or better for cheaper imo.

The best one would be the Rockit Sounds R-50.  They use the TWFK driver like whats in the DBA-02/B2, UE700, CK10, GR01 among others.  They're detailed and balanced with very good mids and highs and the bass has good punch and depth but doesn't sound bloated like others.  The soundstage is really nice, cohesive with good width, depth and height along with very good imaging and separation.  They cost $119.99 shipped so they're one of the best values around imo.

The Phiaton PS200 is another TWFK based IEM and the one thing the do better than the R-50 is they have a wider soundstage but the over all soundstage is better on the R-50.  The highs are very bright and can be a bit harsh at times.

Theres others but imo the R-50 would be the best as far as value and sound quality.  I'm actually going to sale my W2 to a friend because the R-50 sounds better and I don't use the W2 anymore.

Sorry I got the price all wrong on my post about the R-50, they're only $119.99 not $199.99, that makes a big difference.

Any chance of the TF10s being sold for $99 on Amazon again this year?

Possibly, it's happened the last two years from my understanding, Depending which country you're in there's refurbs on ebay for $139 atm. if that means anything to you. I consider that price a decent deal in Australia as I paid $140 for mine here though they were as 'new'
