ER6i's just died on me and I'm looking to buy one of these 2. So any opinions or experiences with these earphones would be great.
I listen to about 80% trance/techno with the last 20% being a mix of rock,pop,rap.

So thanks for any help

If you're a "basshead," both the Westone UM1 and Etymotic hf5 may not be to your liking--the bass is not strong like you get with the Klipsch Image S4/S4i models.

You could improve the bass a bit by going with either the Shure "olive" black foam ear tips designed for the Shure SE IEMs or the Comply Foam T-100 or Tx-100 ear tips, but the bass will not be strong enough to enjoy the type of music you mentioned.

Ive seen many people satisfied with the S4 in that genre of music.
Or if you want to pay the Westone 1 price, I love my Monster Turbines with Techno/Trance. The bass is great.

Hmmm ok I'll research these models, btw the highest I'll go is abut $160 aus
