So, I ****ed up. This isn't good, now I need to return this thing and get something which can support two 200 gig micro sd cards. Does anyone know of a media player that does this?

Will do. But ****, I remember that format disc window popping up and thinking something was wrong, so I kept closing it. Now it doesn't pop up when I plug in the fiio. Why doesn't it work when I want it to work? ******* thing's self aware.

I am not familiar with this exact device, but is there a menu structure to try to navigate?  one option would be to put them into the PC with adaptor and erase the format that is already on the memory card.  Just tossing a potential solution out there...  Good Luck to you.

Find a program, "google search" to format the cards to fat32, i'm sure the cards came in exfat format. Try that at least.

Go into the settings of the X5ii and you will find a format option.

Go into the setting on your X5ii and youll see a format go into there and reformat it. this is in the device itself it has nothing to do with your computer.

Okay, I formatted the card on my device, but now my computer is saying I need to format it because it thinks it's a hard drive. What.

Yeah windows won't let me read it without formatting it for some reason, but I cancelled the computer format.
