I don't know what's the "normal procedure" in the US, but we take the pictures after the actual wedding cerimony....

Amazing. I'm glad they made it through uninjured.

Surprised we haven't had a good shaker here in LA lately. We even have sunny, hot and dry "earthquake weather" today.

I've been casually mentioning that to the non-natives in the office today. They usually go wide-eyed for a second before calling me on it. That never gets old.

Actually the wedding/reception probably hasn't happened yet. The groom and bride usually take glamor shots in their wedding attires before the actual date. The photos taken are put together in a book that the guests can browse through before the reception, with one representative photo enlarged so the guests know what the lucky couple looks like. In Chinese weddings, you will bump into relatives that you haven't seen in 10+ years.

Mother nature is hard to change, but human life, dignity and love are even harder to damage. I think that their love will become stronger after the mother nature test. They will appreciate their life more. Wish them have a enjoyable and memorable wedding (wedding photo session one takes place days before the actual wedding reception with couple only, session two is during the reception, in China) and a happy marriage.
