Does the ipod gear pouch come with a strap? The point of using this as a bag is that you don't have to hold it in your hands.

I love Waterfield stuff, but these designs are not nearly elegant enough for me.

That's fair enough, LOL

Ok, next question, is the strap of the inmotion case long enough to wear on the opposite shoulder, across your chest?

You could do that although it would be tight.

I feel the strap is a perfect length for wearing on your shoulder.

Darn! Oh well, I guess you can't have everything. Straps always fall off my shoulder, so I need long straps on my bags. Luckily it's the style here.

Nothing against Waterfield though. I have their small cargo bag, as well as the sleevecase for my ibook, and loads of other small things from them. They are second to none in gadget bag quality and design.

This might be slightly off Waterfield topic but are there any other specialist DAP "gear" bags? I'm planning to get one for my iAudio M3 and SR-71 (when it finally arrives..)?

I'm wondering whether the waterfield gear bag is slightly on the larger side.

I'd hate to walk around with a bag in my hand regardless - with hundreds of dollars worth of equipment EASILY jerked out of your hands by a thief.

Everything that you buy, whether it's electronics, cd's, cars, etc. cost way more to purchase than they do to produce--- the whole point of a company making a product is to make a profit as well. That's the nature of selling a product. Would you rather they charge $6 and only cover their cost of matierals, then lose money, and go out of business?

You seem to be complaining about the price of a nice case, and that you would never walk around with bag full of hundreds of dollars of equipment. Fair enough, no one wants to lose an expensive piece of equipment. But what's your solution? Would you just keep the mp3 player (or other electronics device) in your pocket to keep if from being stolen? I don't see a problem spending $30-50 on a case to protect a $200-400 (or higher) item like an iPod, or Zen Micro, etc. I'd rather do that, and have the item protected, as opposed to having it get damaged/broken because I didn't shell out the $30.

Altoid Tin - 3 bucks and you get some "free" candy to boot. Probably protects it better than that bag due to it being a hard case. I guess creativity + iPod don't go hand in hand.

While yes, you have an excellent point...the Altoid tins don't hold your DAP, charger, cables, etc...

I know it's hard to like iPod's, but there's no reason to bash every 3rd party product that comes along.

I've actually owned the bigger version of this bag, and they are very nice. Although I sold it because I didn't like the thought of carrying a man-purse, they are still very nice for those who don't care to be seen in public
