I took one of my Russian watches to the most reputable jeweler in town to see about getting it cleaned He said the had a roving rover who cleaned watches and it would go close to $100.

I told him when I brought a Russian watch down here several years ago the watcher said he had never seen one and was afraid i=of it, so I bought a watch repair kit and taught myself ho. He said that was fantastic and more power to me.
Now it looked like I was going to have to teach myself how to clean them. Yay! More power to me and a pat on the back from a shayra maidel on my way out.
I'm not going to clean the face. Just the insides to make it keep time as we were born the same year.
And we have to do what we have to do. And this tool not to be overlooked.

I thought I had posted this one but a search doesn't show my Boulova Water-Tite gold watch that is so old it doesn't even have the name on the dial. Info for these watches is scarce but it's a standard size watch for the day, about the size of a quarterself-winding waterproof watch with that crazy Radium glow in the dark effect applied to the hands of the watch.
I uoloaded it to a Bulova Group but it was the only one of this model. If I knew how old it was I don't remember now and time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping.into the future.
