Hi guys.

Quick question: Is there any loss of quality when we try to "fix" the sound of a warmer source via a cooler headphone amplifier?

I would like to connect my Cowon iAudio X5 (very warmer source) to an iBasso P3+ (which I can set it up as I want). My headphones are Philips HP1000 (neutral sound) and Shure SE420 (little warmer sound).

Not really. It all boils down to individual taste. There are lots of people who prefer contrasting components: for example, I like tubes with Grados to give them a slightly warmer sound.
