I am looking for gentle, warm & inviting background instrumental for open house. I appreciate your suggestions in advance.

Ken, check out some Keiko Matsui. I used it many years ago and it was received VERY well. Actually sold my house in 10 days but I'm sure it wasn't only because of the music.

Great suggestion.

How about "Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn" by Do Make Say Think, if post-rock is acceptable?

Try some of the 'Ambient' series from Brian Eno. Maybe Harold Budd as well. Although, having said that, when we were looking, the quieter the house (to hear the possible noise from outside) the better...Good luck!

When I worked Real Estate open houses I played a lot of George Winston. people liked it. I probably made more money for George demoing his music than I made selling houses. Sad but true.
