I am looking for a good transport with either optical or coaxial output. Any suggestions?

Try Audiogon for a used Pioneer PD-59 or PD-65 with the Stable Platter Mechanism; Cal Delta is supposed to be nice at the price as well.

I agree that the Pioneer stable platter mechanism players are a good bet. You can get them pretty cheap on eBay usually.

I would suggest you don't ask for a transport recomendation without specifying a price

I can recommend a "good" $10K Wadia 270se

Checkout the NEC CDROM thread. I find this drive is a good transport. It cost me 3.99 also

It can't really hurt to try stuff that cheap. I'm sure you'll find it an improvement to your PCDPs.
