Right now I dont want to spend more than $500.

I pulled up a quick search for this in the forum but wasnt able to find what I need.

Im currently in the market for some and am admittedly a nubian where headphones are concerned, though I am comforted in having found this community. My current ones are JVC HA-G55 and are garbage (right?).

As stated in my previous thread the HD 595 and ATH-AD700 seemed to fit the bill. But after reading the 'negatives' thread maybe I should pay more so that I cant complain, just put them on and wonder why its taken so long to clue in.
LOL

Thank-you and Happy Holidays.

Neither the AD700s or the 595s are bass heavy. For around $100, you might want to take a look at Audio-Technica ATH-M50s and M-Audio Q40s.

You could probably get a set of Darthbeyers for under $500
*wink*wink* :]

I think I posted this same response yesterday, but try the DT770pros, D2000, or Ultrasone 900s out and see which one works for you :]

Wecome to Head-Fi, sorry for your wallet :]

You could look around for a pair of darth beyers. I hear those can be bass monsters. I'd also suggest looking into a pair of beyer dt770 or denon d2000

Ill definitely look into all of your suggestions as well as the Headphones For Sale / Trade forum here at head-fi.

I think I can splooge a little extra on the cans because from what Ive been told is that there is an amp onboard the upcumming soundcard I think Ill buy called the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD. yay
