Should I get an amp(Like will I hear a noticeable difference?) for my M50x which I've had for a few months now. I've realized now that all my current headphones sound muddled and when I listened to my friends Razer krakens they sounded like putting tin cans on my ears with little speakers in them.
If so which should I get to get me started?
I have no experience with external headphone amps or DACs I've just been using my phone and my computers on-board sound card.
Thanks!

Another vote for the E10K and Schiit Fulla. Here's a review: http://androidforums.com/threads/review-of-schiit-audio-fulla-usb-dongle-dac-amp-w-lots-of-pics.905456/

Note that neither of these two are going to work with phones if that is important. What is your overall budget for the DAC/amp? What make/model phone do you have?

I have a Galaxy note 4.
And my overall budget depends on what kind of quality and audible difference I notice when comparing.
When I first got my M50xs I could tell they sounded better but they didn't sound that much better to me compared to my cheapo headphones but, after listening to them for awhile and getting used to them I went and listened to my old headphones and I noticed how huge of a difference there is.
If the difference between my on-board sound card and one of those DAC/Amps is that noticeable I'm willing to pay quite a bit for the quality.
But try to keep it under $100 preferably around $50ish(unless they just suck in this price range.) until I'm a little more comfortable with DACs and amps.

Thanks everyone I'm doing some research on the E10K and Schiit Fulla aswell as the Hifime/Fiio DAC and amp.

Do you notice a difference at moderate listening volumes between the Note 4 and your computer? The Note 4 apparently has decent sound for a phone. I had the Note 2, and it had decent sound, but would not drive my M50s very loud (which is why I said moderate volume--not turned all the way up). If so, IMO, the E10K and Fulla should do at least as well if not better as DACs compared to your Note 4's built in DAC, and then they will have more power to drive the M50X much louder.

So in part depends on your listening volume. If you have the M50X cranked up on your Note (near max volume), then the internal amp in the Note may be squashing/distorting dynamic peaks in music. What we generally want is a headphone amp (whether built in the device or external) that has extra headroom to cover those dynamic peaks, e.g., gets a good bit louder than our listening volume.
