Ive had my supermacro for a while and its a pain to keep bringing it back and forth. Id rather have something to stay at home all the time. Price im looking to spend 300-400$, so im assuming the Gilmour lite is on the top of the list?

Any other suggestions?

The search is your friend

! If you're specifically looking for differences between the PPA and the M3 look for a review that a friend a I did recently comparing and contrasting the two. There is also a recent review of an M3 that was built by Rockhopper audio (see Mall-Fi) that was quite positive. The M3 and PPA are both fantastic amps with slightly different strengths and hardly anything I would call a weakness. Unfortunately I have little experience with the more popular commercial offerings as I like to build my own.

If you could wait till mid-july you'd have the rare opportunity to sample a whole bunch of gear when the Headroom Tour rolls through Boston. I suspect they'll be an M3 and probably a PPA there in additition to Headroom's whole lineup.

HTH,

Nate
