Mine just got in, I think I'll try it as an amp first to see what I think.

Glad to have you onboard! Let it charge for a while first for best battery though

An $8 to $9 increase since November. Not terribly unreasonable given increased popularity. At least it is still cheap

I will give it a good charge first.  My first attempt will also let me play with my iPod 5.5 video as I finally got around to installing a CF card reader and changed the original battery, and I have an ALO LOD.

Yes, still very good price. Yesterday changed opamp to LM4562, no notable improvement in SQ. As compared in my Cmoy amp this opamp did a better job though :)

Reveel amp?  Not sure I've heard of that one before.

The name is misleading. It doesn't add any power... unless you're using a truly pitiful DAP in the sub 100mw zone. Think of it more as a signal processor, or an enhancement feature on a stereo receiver. It sounds nice for all headphone users and i like to put it on the amp line in so it can do its work and i can enjoy the Walnut's amp power. But if you are a BA IEM person you won't want those crazy high output powers and would rather have a low impedance output. For this you could run out of the line out but since it's not an amp i would probably actually use the headphone out...

So for clarification, is the line out both a line out and line in jack?  And the earbud I tested the Walnut with for a moment had an issue with receiving too much power, so I might want to look into the Reveel as well.
