Is it ok to have the Walnut plugged in while playing music to break it in?

I am using Walnut to burn in my HD6XX with Cardas cable and Cypherus CAX from last 10 days always plugged in by powerbank :)

Thats what I figured. Just wanted to make sure. My Shanling M2 says not to have it plugged in while playing.

Good thing about Walnut is that you can burn-in 2 earbuds/headphones at same time !

I read also on some devices manual that charging without using it is preferable. It's general advice, if you want a healthy battery for the long term, is better to not use wile charging. It's more "clean " and less stressful for the battery. But I'm not sure it is worth the hassle. I put it on the same level as safely eject USB. Doesn't really harm if done from time to time but can be bad on the long term if it become a habit .
On a side note, noise floor is increased when my walnut is plugged in.

Just curious, after breaking in the Walnut (no pun intended), do the low mids become a bit more prominent and does the speed of the bottom end impact improve?

Subjective really, i would say slightly yes to the low mids and yes to the speed of the sub bass. however an opamp swamp might likely change the sound more than an opamp would. i  am still waiting on delivery of other 5532 variants to test those against the TI 5532 like comes with the walnut,

I will try and stay posted to see your results.

I tried the following, and I can hear the noise floor on all of them, some more obvious than others, of course.

their specs taken mostly from "theheadphonelist" IEM review thread.

Xiaomi Hybrid
impedance: 32
sensitivity: 101

Monoprice 8320
impedance: 32
sensitivity: 96

KZ ZS3 (spec from gearbest)
impedance: 18
sensitivity: 106

NuForce EX600
impedance: 16
sensitivity: 100

Xiaomi piston 3
impedance: 32
sensitivity: 98

it looks most likely a grounding problem as @jpciii stated..
if you're handy with soldering iron, you may reheat solder joints on 3.5 mm female jacks'. any imperfect joint may cause noise..

I replaced with same rating but you can change with any higher rating one as long as it fits to the case..

Voltage rating you mean.

Capacitance value rating  I suppose you could experiment, it might affect the sound, think it does.
I forget who posted about that already though losing track of things in here.
