I live in the us too
OH master WAYNE...
do you have issues at all with using VE ZENs for volume and/or pure powah?
Not at all. The goofy nut brings both the zen 1's and 2's to life. Plenty of volume, power and synergy
Ok i bought it and a new walnut too. Any more mod to make the sound better ?
Hi, I have one of these babies and am mostly loving the sound quality. I am mostly converting CDs to WAV using Foobar but I am still getting problems after at least 30 to 40 hours of use - I get a regular faint click noise, like a scratch on a record, after playing a few minutes. At first it continued for about 15 minutes then went away but now it goes on for at least my commute to work - an hour.
I have read they need running in and issues like this go away, how long is this running in period?
Out of interest can anyone explain why they need to be 'run in' and what this actually does? I don't really understand why modern electronic components would need running in but that may be my ignorance!
Looks like my nut is now half dead, it doesn't turn on (no light on instruction LED) but when I plugged the charger the battery indicator LED works, it charges and the pop sound is still there. What could be the problem guys?
Mostly it is the caps that require burn in but not entirely.
Verify the "hold" switch wasn't bumped by accident?
Nope. Checked it and i never used that hold switch.
Order these. In the comments section make sure to tell them you want the exact ones pictured! This is the best of the 4 NE5532 versions I have tried.
for that price and shipping time, would it be better to spend $2 more and go for the dual AD825 as mentioned a few pages back?
Sounds like an empty battery to me
Try to give it a full charge
They are both great, but I prefer the Fairchild NE5532N. It sounds fuller and more open, with much better sub bass.
