I remember someone here had their mass TT isolated on a wall.

First id like to ask if a wall necessarily isolates better than a 30Kg (stereo components incl.) wooden rack on the floor.

Secondly Id like to have some wall mounting tips and how I should design the shelf. I was thinking marble but I need to somehow dampen it (with wood maybe?) to avoid ringing.

Should I excpect miracles after some good isolation. I feel I need to improve my S/N ration without changing a TT!

I don't know how your Project 2 would relate, but Sound Organisation (with an "s", not a "z") makes/made a wall mount TT stand which I believe is specifically for the LP12. It is actually very lightweight, but very rigid, and many Linn users swear by them. Further, it is likely less expensive that building one out of marble and what not. Te only trick is that this companies older designs are not imported into the states anymore, and their newer ones are not as nice. Check out linn dealers as most seem to cary these.
