Even though this is a decent turntable I know that it is not all that spectacular by today’s standards. But for me it is probably an upgrade from a Technics turntable.

It is a Walker CJ55.

The tone arm is a LINN BASIK LV-X.

Perhaps you can identify the cartridge from these pictures? It says, "Made in Japan" toward the end with the four contact prongs. It has the number, "211" between the two mounting holes just above the tiny screw.

The needle of this cartridge is worn off. I am wondering if this is an expensive cartridge. If it is, I am thinking that it might be worth hunting down a new needle. If it is a cheap cartridge, then I am wondering if a cheap replacement cartridge like the Grado Black is a good combo? What do you think?
Thanks,

No one has identified the cartridge in question so I’ve just assumed that it is a cheap one. I have just purchased a Grado Red - Prestige cartridge so hopefully I can get it to work out well.
