I am guessing the W2002 are the better phones.

Since I have not found a real review of the W1000, is it also colored like the W2002.

Do they sound pretty similar?

Anyone have any idea when the next Audio Technica will come out?

IF ONE MORE PERSON TELLS ME TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON.

I have used it, I was looking for some fresh feedback, there are no diect comparisons, some people have alluded that they have different sounds I merely wanted someone to accenutate in a brief reply said differences.

Assume from now on whenever I post I HAVE CHECKED the search button.

There were very, very few W2002 cans sold in the US (or the world, for that matter). The W1000 is brand-new, and very few people have them.

If you think about it, you'll realize that there are probably no more than two people on Head-Fi who actually own both cans, and that all the others are remembering the sound of a borrowed pair or merely guessing.

I would like to know as well. The W2002 is a collective item and often be compared with the R10. I still can't find a good impression on the W1000. I would like to know as well.

I own both the K1000 and the W2002. I like both, but if I could have only one I would choose the W2002 hands-down. Incidentally, I prefer the CD3000 to either of them.

Hi,
I've talked w/ a Spad before and quite sure that it was a typo. He has the w1000.

1. the letter 'K' and the letter 'W' are quite a bit spaced apart on the keyboard for a typo to happen.

2. Spad's profile says "AKG K1000"

Don't bother comparing unless you can actually get out and listen to these Jon. Buy one and if you don't like it, you won't lose a heck of a lot when you sell it here.
I see you haven't filled out your profile Jon. Once you've done so I can go into more detail.
