Hi,

So, as previously announced by VSONIC's CEO last month, they would be releasing a new highend dynamic model in their product range, above the GR07s. Here's the new announcement about the new model, in it's original form:

Vsonic声学将在3月份-4月份推出GR07的升级版本MR07。同样也为动圈耳机,耳机外观,线材与现款无异,外观颜色将有调整。全免费质保期为3年。官方售价暂定为3099元。

And here's the translation of that announcement, thanks to tomscy2000:

It says that the MR07 is the upgraded version of the GR07 and that it doesn't look any different from the GR07 apart from color and has the same cable, but I'm assuming the SQ will be better since it's really expensive at 3099, w/3yr warranty. To be released in March April

We already know that the GR07 is about to get a new housing, so this new model will have that new housing as well (in a different color, it seems). The price of 3099 YUAN is about 500 USD, so it seems a bit expensive for a single dynamic IEM. It's better be that good...

So, this is all the info I have for now! I'll keep updating these posts as more info becomes available...

Wow! Since it's basically the same IEM physically, I'm assuming that they will improve on the tuning of the GR07. I wonder how that will turn out to be. I've been a GR07 fan since it first came out, currently enjoying the mk2 version (skipped the bass edition).

Price is an instant turn-off, especially since the 7007 hybrid will be approximately 25% cheaper. I think they will have great difficulty justifying an MRSP of $500, especially with the same housing and cable.

At $500, an extreme value for the money would be something that sounds as good as JH13s or Heir 8As. I'm very skeptical of a company that is making such a leap in price point, and I'm afraid they've read enough of their good feedback on the GR07s to justify taking this chance.

I love my bass editions but that's a lot of money for a single dynamic plug if its sound calls for the price ill reserve any judgment until I have personal experience with them should be interesting
