I would like to report my recent experience of submerging my Vsonic GR07 Bass Edition Earphones in water for 4 or 5 minutes by accident:
The earphones were in the cargo pocket of my shorts when I spilled a drink on the shorts. Trying to save the shorts from a permanent stain, I filled a basin with water and hand washed them for 4 or 5 minutes, only later to find out that my GR07's were in the pocket.
Not knowing what else to do, I put them in a 1 cup (250ml) wide mouth jar, and filled the jar with small desiccant packets that I had been saving from electronics purchases over the years. I then put the jar in my car for 4 days parked in the sun where the interior temperature reaches about 100°F (38°C) each day.
After 4 days I took the GR07's out and tested them.
To my surprise, they played just like they had never gotten wet, with full bass response, and equal clarity to being new.
I hope that this report may be helpful to anyone who has gotten their GR07 Earphones into water.
Now all I have to worry about is the Sansa Clip Zip MP3 Player, that also got submerged. I have done the same procedure with the MP3 player, with a jar and desiccant packets, but I am going to wait 7 to 10 days, rather than 4, because there is a lot more to dry out on the MP3 player as compared to the earphones.
Actually, I was way more worried about the GR07's than the Sansa Clip Zip, because the GR07's cost 3 times as much.
