Well, i dont have detachable version but i do recable my GR07 BE many times. No difference for my ears.

Thank you for your response. My guess is that Vsonic's cables are of good enough quality to the point replacing it won't improve the sound quality. I won't try those other cables anymore in this case, it seems to be a waste of money.

Know this is abit late as I see from your signature that you already have the vs7. the gr07 fits my ear much better for me. however i think gr07 is still going strong. lendmeurears is selling a 2020 version of the gr07

Thanks for the reply. Yes saw them on lendmeurears. No detachable cable is a no-no for me as it historically has cable which gives away in a year or so.

If you want very neutral sound, and mainly listen in indoor, quiet environment, go for GR07.

VS7 sound a bit more "fun" , V-shaped than GR07

GR07 are also prone to sibilance, so don't listen to badly produced records with them

Thanks for the tip. I was actually looking for a neutralish iem and thus was chasing GR07 but found VS7 for $100 so lapped it up. Will keep an eye out for GR07 with detachable cables if they're on sale and budget. Although for me, VS7 are U shaped but I get why they sound like that to you. Mids are spacial but perception can vary basis seal and tips. I'm using stock tips with them, what tips do you use?

For VS7, I'm using KZ starline tips, which fit and seal well to my ears. FYI, with the GR07 - nozzle diameter is a bit smaller than most IEMs nowadays, making it a bit harder to do tip rolling

It is hardly possible to make detachability mod for this earphones. At least if you want it to be durable. You can make it hardwired to your bluetooth cable.

If you have some soldering skills you can recable with a bluetooth cable, making detachable mod is another story though, needs more advanced skills. Probably won't worth the effort.

Just dropping by to mention that the glossy mirror housing on my GR07 37 has held up surprisingly well. I was expecting it to turn into a brushed finish after a few months.
It's too bad they don't sell the detachable cable version anymore.
