VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

I wonder if Vsonic continues with some sort of Biocellulose implementation in the new driver/GR07X.

The driver in the New VSD3, which I'd guess is the same basic design as the VSD5/S, is much harsher sounding in the treble, and less creamy and gentle.

I have finally successfully recabled my Gr07 BE that died due to cable failing..
The new cables were too big to fit in to the plastic that held the cables at the top of the casing, so i used silicone to hold them in place.. Any1 has a better suggestion to seal up the top??

If somebody with DIY skills could effectively mod these to fix the cable issue, I'd buy them in a heartbeat (and many others would, too).

So anyone have any info on the "new gr07s" being sold on aliexpress? And where do the gro7x place in this? Is it the same thing or coming later?

My fingers are really itching to pull the trigger on the "new" ones.

The New GR07 is not GR07x.  New GR07 has the same drivers with the old GR07, but better material for housing. The old one have many problems with the housing.

GR07x is not on sale on internet yet.

If the GR07X solves the build quality issues, I don't know that I'd need another IEM. I had my MK1s recabled by BTG Audio, but that eventually failed, too (didn't go for detachable cables - those look really good btw). I can't for the life of me understand why VSonic doesn't understand what kind of goldmine they have with the GR07 if they would only make it durable...I A/B'd these with Sennheiser IE800 earphones at a audio show and the differences were negligible as far as how impressive they sounded...maybe this is what the GR07X is - the GR07 with first-class build quality. Fingers crossed.

Yes agreed. I started using my gr07s after quite a while amd fell in love all over again even though they're battered and bruised now.

The gr07s were my entry to quality in ears and they're still easily my favourites after so many years.

And I guess its better to wait the gr07x then.

I wonder if there is a be version??

I've never tried the mk1 or mk2.

But I love my be gr07 to death

Also this. VSD7X - the black and white one with all-ceramic housing for around $360, while that gr07 with detachable cables should be around $100-120 and the gr07be will also be updated with new housing material and cable

Will wait to see how reliable the connectors are - MMCX seem to be finicky.
