x2!
While not my first Stones lp, Exile was my first Stones CD, in fact it was my first CD, when I finally made the digital leap. Great list RogerB, and glad to see Ya Ya's on it!

In the summer of 1972, as a young 15 year old kid, I walked home from the record store with Exile tucked under my arm. When I got home I carefully place side 1 on my turntable and set the needle down. Rocks Off came blaring out of the speakers and my life changed forever!! I had never heard anything that was so powerful and quickly realized that blues based rock was MY kind of music. The next week I picked up Get Yer Ya Yas Out and my long journey with the Rolling Stones began. P.S Any body besides me absolutely wear out side 2 of Exile???? |
