When you write an all MC questions exam, if you completey don't know the question and you need to guess the answer, which letter you will choose: A, B, C, D or E? and why?

I will pick D, since my name start with D.

A couple of tips I learned:

When in doubt C your way out.
It's never always.
It's always never.

Hope this helps.

Back when I was a kid, they did some statistics, and found that "b" was the most common answer. I still use that, though those statistics most probably have changed since then (I don't take many tests).

Once, when taking a practice test for Academic Decathlon, I was running out of time...and filled in the last 15 ovals with C. Turns out 8 of them were C.

We went over which one to choose when you have to guess. Don't guess the first or last. The middle choices are pretty even. Pick a letter and go with it...don't fill in B D D C, just D D D D.

I'm in college, and just took an exam yesterday for my last multiple-choice class for the foreseeable future. No more guesses...now I have to brush up on my BS skills.

You're best bet is to elimate the ones that can't seem right, and then guess fromt there. Usually, you can elimate them down to two possible answers which is 50% chance to get them right, instead of the 20% chance with just putting down b or c for the ones you don't know.

Oftentimes, if the test mixes true/false with MC, A or B is easily the best. However, if it's only MC, E (or the last choice) is another very frequent one, especially if the choice contains "all of the above," "none of the above," or "both __ and __." I would recommend reading the question over before randomly guessing.

I should have read the posts before voting. I voted D, which I am upset with now that I have seen the Outdoor dude also voted D. He and I can not have anything in common.

Oh, I have no idea why I voted D. I have been up for 24 hours and just got off work. Maybe I am just too tired to think straight.
