Nevermind, it works now!

--------------------------------

I'm having a little bit of trouble with my amp, particularly my volume pot. Sound usually comes out fine on the left channel, but there's nothing coming out of the right. When I turn the knob really quickly and it makes a clicking noise, only then does sound come out of the other side, but only for a short while, and sometimes the sound disappears on the left side when I do this. Defective pot, or what? I think I accidentally touched the pot directly with the soldering iron a little too much, because I see little melt-dots on the plastic casing. Could I have overheated it?

Just buy some good cleaning spray and your pot will be like new.

If the pot is capsulated try to spray it inside from the shaft's base side.

If it doesn't help - buy an Alps Blue pot

I bought one from CONRAD, it is German made and I haven't problems with dirty pots after that.

Actually *dirty* means low quality pot which resistive surface is started to ruin.

Very rare *dirty* means really dirt - on some car stereos maybe.
