Hey all, I'm using an iPod's line out, and it goes directly into a cmoy amp that has no volume control, with no way to control the volume, the sound is deafening. What's my best bet here. I need an attenuator, and I've seen one by Koss, but I can't image that it's of any good quality. Any thoughts? Thanks,

But there is serious sound degradation using the headphone out versus the line out, that's why I'd like to avoid it. Not that I have a killer setup or anything, but i would like it to sound as good as possible...

Well yeah, I can understand that. But you're gonna hurt the sound more trying to turn it down with an inline knob than you will running out of the headphone output. iPods have very good headphone outs anyway, its the other players that give the headphone out a bad reputation.

+1

add a pot, if the design allows it. otherwise you are stuck using the ipod headphone out.
