I'm wanting to control my home computer from work. Since I don't have XP Pro at home, I need to get a good VNC client to use. The last time I messed with VNC was years ago, so you should consider me a relative newb.
What I really want is to have a VNC client that has onboard encyption, though I could live with using some sort of SSL tunnel if I really had to.
Here is what I need:
- the applications must be free
- VNC
- encyption for VNC (this used to be only through something like VPN. Are there any integrated programs out there?)
- ability to transfer files to the viewing computer (this used to be impossible)
- portable so that with nothing more than a flash drive I can go to any computer with internet access and control my home comp. (even if both the server and the viewer are behind a router)
Does anyone have any suggestions on what might fulfill my needs?
