In terms of sound and value, which would you recommend? I listen mostly to dubstep and rap. I will be using them for gaming as well.

I play games like BF3, and counter strike a lot. I like bass but not too much. Sources would be my iPhone and my PC with onboard sound and later maybe xfi titanium sound card

Akg headphones without proper amping (or at least a decent amp) is not worth buying. Probably the Vmoda's, they are semi-open headphones, with large soundstage and easy to drive.
